This week alone, we are expecting temperatures in the low 100’s, which is unusual for early September here in the Pacific Northwest. Keep out the sunscreen, water bottles, and hats!
With fall right around the corner, we are more than ready to get on with our autumn activities. Matt and I have been going to a pumpkin patch every year for the past 11 years and since having Scarlett, that has been no exception.
We were engaged at our favorite pumpkin patch in the area, we got married in the fall, October 4th, 2015 and Scarlett’s newborn photos were at a pumpkin patch.
When curating this list of things to do, I wanted to be sure that I included activities that could be done often, as well as ones that don’t cost a penny.
There are also some activities that require a tag team duo, such as mom/dad or auntie assistance, so those we hold off for a Sunday afternoon.

Going to the pumpkin patch can be a blast if you prepare beforehand & take it all in stride, especially with little ones. Pumpkin patches have many activities to participate in from hay rides to visiting the farm animals.
We are huge football fans in this household. I grew up with a football coach Dad and my husband’s family is from the Eugene/Springfield area. This can only mean one thing…Oregon Duck fans! We attend games when we can, but with a little one, that made it a bit tough last season.
This year, we are hoping to take her to some high school football games. Our local team is right behind our place, so we can literally walk to them.
At the beginning of a new season or a new holiday, I always rotate in new books. Fall is no exception to our collection as there are so many titles to choose from.
